Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-25

This page explains what cookies and similar storage we use on this site, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files (and similar browser storage like localStorage) saved by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember small bits of information between visits — for example, which language you prefer. They do not give us access to anything else on your device.

What this site uses

We only use strictly necessary browser storage. Everything below is stored locally in your browser; we don't send it anywhere.

Name Purpose Storage Duration
brela.lang Saves your selected interface language so we don't ask again on every visit. localStorage Persistent (until you clear it)
brela.consent Saves your cookie-consent choices so the banner doesn't reappear every visit. localStorage Persistent (until you clear it)

Third-party services

The site loads a small number of resources from third parties. These providers may set their own cookies according to their own privacy policies:

  • Google Maps — embedded map on the contact section. Google may store usage data. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from fonts.gstatic.com. No cookies, but an IP-level request is made by your browser.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects the contact form from spam. May set cookies and analyze browsing signals. See Google's privacy policy.

Analytics & marketing

Currently we use no analytics or marketing/tracking cookies. The Analytics and Marketing toggles in the cookie banner are placeholders, ready in case we add such tools in the future. Until then, choosing "Accept all" has the same effect as "Reject" — only necessary storage is used.

Your rights & how to manage cookies

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

  • Reopen the cookie banner via the Cookie settings link in the footer.
  • Clear site data in your browser (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → "Cookies and site data" for this domain).
  • Disable cookies entirely in your browser settings. Note: this may break the language picker and the consent banner itself, since they rely on local storage.
